Black Lives Natter are recruiting a part-time Admin & Finance Coordinator to support budgets, accounts, and administrative systems. Ideal for an organised, IT-literate candidate with an interest in community arts.

Job Description

Role Purpose

We are seeking an Admin & Finance Coordinator to support the business side of our work, ensuring accurate accounts, well-kept records, and effective administrative systems. This role is key to helping our creative programme run smoothly.

Contract Details

  • Pay £15 per hour
  • Contract Type: Part-time, fixed term (40 weeks per calendar year)
  • Hours: 8 hours per week
  • Salary (pro-rata): £4,800 per year (gross)
  • Full-time Equivalent (FTE): £29,250 - this role is 0.16 FTE
  • Fixed-term (dependent on funding outcome)
  • Remote working
  • Start Date: 25th November 2025
  • End Date: 25th November 2026

Funding Note

This post is offered on a fixed-term basis and is dependent on the outcome of a Project Grant application submitted in September 2025. A decision is expected in early November 2025.

Job Requirements

  • IT literate with strong skills in office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Google Workspace)
  • Experience with financial administration, bookkeeping, or accounts
  • Comfortable managing wages, receipts, and budgets
  • Strong organisational and methodical approach to work
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience working in community arts, theatre, or a similar creative sector
  • Understanding of our communities and their needs
  • Experience using Google Drive, Canva, social media platforms, and ticketing systems
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Flexible, with the ability to work remotely

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage budgets and track income/expenditure
  • Process wages and receipts
  • Support funding applications and reporting requirements
  • Maintain organisational records and administrative systems
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support across the organisation
  • Assist with diary management and scheduling
  • Attend production meetings, both remotely and in person, including monthly team meetings
  • Attend occasional community events to represent the organisation and engage with participants
