We are looking for an administrative assistant to provide organisational and administrative support for a small but fast-paced theatre production company. This is an opportunity for someone early-career to learn about the business element of ‘show business’, specifically the theatre industry.

Job Description

We are looking to bring on board an administrative assistant to provide organisational and administrative support for a small but fast-paced company. This post-holder is expected to work closely with the Assistant Producer and Marketing Manager whilst providing overall support to the full team.

This role would provide an opportunity for someone early-career to learn about the business element of 'show business', specifically the theatre industry, in a busy production office environment.

Please note this is predominantly a computer-based administrative role and is a fixed term contract to end of September 2025, paid pro rata.

Desirable Skills

  • Experienced using Google Drive, Gmail, Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Some experience or knowledge of working in the theatre or entertainment industry.
  • A keen interest in the theatre and entertainment industry.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include

  • Updating and maintaining company databases, from venue contacts through to logging final sales reports for each show in each venue
  • Collecting sales reports and updating weekly sales figures for each show
  • Making travel, transport and logistical arrangements for each show
  • Sending show technical information and marketing packs to each venue
  • Requesting and preparing venue contracts and settlements
  • Booking in company tickets where appropriate
  • Supporting the marketing manager with social media management
  • Arranging meetings, taking minutes, circulating action points to attendees
  • Co-ordinating auditions and rehearsal bookings
  • Assisting the core team with administrative support across the company's portfolio of shows
  • Attending and representing the company at shows, projects and events
  • Undertaking any other duties as may reasonably be required
