About us
The Art Trolley runs creative art and craft clubs in local primary schools in Tonbridge, and has done since 2010. We create playful, imaginative sessions that help children build confidence and self-expression through painting, drawing, mixed media, and sculpture.
We're looking for an experienced, reliable artist-teacher to independently deliver two of our after-school art clubs, planning and running sessions for primary-aged children on their own.
Set up and pack down materials at each school
Support children's creative development in a warm, encouraging way
Transport art materials between sessions
Confidence managing a group of children solo
A genuine passion for art and creative education
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Based in or near Tonbridge
Two clubs per week in Tonbridge. Each club runs for 1 hour (from 3pm to 4:30)Job Requirements
Manage the full session alone, no co-facilitator present
Set up materials and space before each club, and tidy up afterwards
Transport art materials and equipment to and from each school
Create a warm, encouraging environment that supports children's confidence and self-expression
Manage group behaviour and keep sessions safe, structured, and on time
Communicate with school staff as needed (e.g. collecting/dropping off children, any issues during the session)
Follow safeguarding procedures at all timesJob Responsibilities
