WE'RE HIRING: CREATIVE TUTOR FOR AFTER SCHOOL CLUB / START IMMEDIATELY

Are you an experienced arts educator who loves working with children? Or are you a teaching assistant, childcare worker, or early years educator looking to change things up a bit?

PressPlay Art Clubs is looking for an enthusiastic Creative Tutor
to deliver a weekly after-school art club in Stoke Newington, London.

At PressPlay, we use art to nurture children's wellbeing. Our sessions encourage self-expression, confidence and emotional resilience through structured but playful creative experiences. We welcome practitioners who bring their own artistic interests, ideas and personality to their teaching.

Location: Stoke Newington, N16
Schedule: 1x or 2x a week (tbc)
Time: 3:45pm-4:45pm
Term period: 14 September - 10 December
Pay: £30-£35 per session

Job Requirements

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Enhanced DBS certificate with a Children's Barred List check issued within the last 3 years.
- UTR and self-employed status.
- Proof of Right to Work in the UK.
- Two references relating specifically to your work with children.

DESIRABLE:
- Safeguarding training.

Job Responsibilities

WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS:

- Strong creative skills and experience leading activities for groups of children.
- Experience in an educational, childcare or community setting.
- Excellent communication and classroom-management skills.
- The confidence to follow a session plan while adapting when needed.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and child wellbeing.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Deliver engaging, age-appropriate art and creative activities.
- Create a safe, positive and inclusive environment.
- Encourage children's creativity, confidence and self-expression.
- Manage the classroom setup, materials and session timings.
- Monitor children's participation, behaviour and safety.
- Communicate confidently with school staff and families.
- Share brief feedback on pupil engagement and programme development.

PressPlay provides session templates, practical guidance and ongoing safeguarding support.
