This part-time job is to provide administrative support to the children's books department for 3 days per week with a start date of Monday 21 September 2026. Job Description
- Organising contracts for signing and entering into our RMS system; filing on our internal database
- Help to raise invoices as well as tracking and chasing up payments for clients
- Using Wordpress to post news articles and update client pages on our website
- Keeping updated: our publication schedule up to date with upcoming books; our publishing contacts database up to date with editor moves and wishlists
- Recording subsidiary rights sales and digitizing international editions' covers
- Assisting with our social media platforms on Instagram and BlueSky (@theagencybooks)
- Assisting with diary management and helping to arrange book fair meetings (e.g. London and Bologna)
- Ad-hoc office administration tasks including printing/scanning, shelving books and handling post
- Handling permission requests and drawing up simple licence agreements
- An aptitude for managing systems, apps and software including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel and learning new ones (e.g. WordPress, Adobe InDesign)
- The ability to prioritise well and multi-task with attention to detail
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Reliability when it comes to their work, discretion and maintaining confidentiality when it comes to clients' work Job Requirements
