Are you passionate about working with children and managing creative, engaging experiences? Art Camp is seeking a dedicated, organized Camp Manager to lead our team, with experience managing staff, guiding activities, and creating a safe, inspiring environment for young campers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Management: Oversee operations, including arrivals, scheduling, breaks, and pick-up, ensuring a smooth experience.
- Activity Leadership: Lead the "Wake-Up Shake-Up" morning sessions to energize campers and oversee group transitions.
- Parent Contact: Serve as the main contact for parents, handling inquiries and keeping them informed.
- Team Coordination: Support and manage camp staff, assigning rooms, overseeing break times, and assisting as needed.
- Health & Safety: Implement health and safeguarding protocols, ensuring a safe environment, maintaining first-aid supplies, and following COVID-safe practices.
- Behavior Management: Enforce Art Camp's behavior policy and create a positive camp culture with a focus on fun, kindness, and safety.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience with Children: Background in early childhood education, childcare, or similar, ideally with arts or creative program experience.
- Managerial Skills: Strong organizational and team leadership skills.
- Certifications: Current First Aid and Safeguarding certifications are essential.
- Creative Spirit: Enthusiastic about art and working with children in hands-on activities.

- Experience in Early Childhood or Arts Management: Proven background working with children, ideally ages 4-11, and experience in arts or creative environments, ensuring a supportive and engaging setting for young campers.
- Leadership Skills: Strong ability to manage, support, and motivate a team, coordinate schedules, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the camp.
- Certifications: Current First Aid and Safeguarding certifications are essential for safety compliance and child protection. Training may be arranged if needed.
- Organizational Skills: Competent in coordinating schedules, group transitions, and keeping camp spaces clean and orderly.
- Effective Communication: Excellent skills in communicating with parents, children, and staff, serving as the main point of contact.
- Adaptable and Proactive: Able to respond to changes, solve problems, and assist in various activities as needed.
- Creative and Positive Attitude:
- Daily Operations: Oversee camp activities, ensuring a smooth and organized day, including arrival, registration, scheduled sessions, lunch, and end-of-day pick-up.
- Lead Activities: Start each day with the "Wake-Up Shake-Up," motivating children and building enthusiasm. Supervise creative sessions and assist where needed.
- Team Management: Manage and support camp staff, coordinating room setups, breaks, and transitions, and stepping in as needed to ensure everyone is well-supported.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce all health, safety, and safeguarding protocols, conduct routine checks, maintain first aid supplies, and follow COVID safety guidelines.
- Behavioral Guidance: Apply camp rules consistently, fostering a positive atmosphere and encouraging teamwork and respect among campers.
- Parent Communication: Serve as the main contact for parents, providing updates and addressing any concerns or questions.
- End-of-Day Duties: Oversee cleanup, ensure spaces are ready for the next day
