Purpose of the role

As Art Collections Manager at Artiq, you will lead the team responsible for the retention and growth of Artiq's corporate art rental accounts. This is a senior client-facing role that combines account management, strategic sales development and end to end project management. You will manage ongoing leased collections for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring both curatorial excellence and commercial performance.

This role requires an experienced leader who can balance creative vision with data-driven sales management, develop deep client relationships, and inspire internal teams to deliver exceptional service.

Job responsibilities (part 1)

Client and Collection Management

  • Lead ongoing management & rotation of leased corporate art collections, ensuring continued relevance & alignment with client brand, culture and values.
  • Develop & maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders across C-suite, operations & facilities.
  • Chair & facilitate internal Art Committees with clients to foster collaborative decision-making & stakeholder engagement.
  • Brief & collaborate with Arts Department to deliver curatorial presentations & provide strategic advisory on collection development, diversity & impact.
  • Collaborate with Operations team to ensure smooth delivery of installation & satisfaction across external stakeholders.

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior account management, sales or collection management role within the art, creative, or cultural sectors.
  • Proven experience in management of a sales team.
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrable success managing a sales pipeline and achieving revenue targets.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and present to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience organising events and activations that drive engagement and client value.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and using MS Excel.

Full-time hybrid role based in our London office, with hybrid working. Evening attendance at events and functions required.

Job Responsibilities

Sales & Commercial Leadership

  • Own & manage sales pipeline, ensuring revenue targets are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Support Account Manager(s) in meeting or exceeding sales target.
  • Collaborate with A-Rental Sales team to ensure optimal client handover.
  • Identify & cultivate opportunities for account growth across existing client base.
  • Lead strategic development of existing accounts through tailored engagement plans & commercial proposals.
  • Report on sales activity & client performance.

Engagement & Activation

  • Propose & deliver client engagement initiatives including collection tours, artist-led workshops, panel discussions & other bespoke activations.
  • Partner with artists & internal teams to create inclusive programming.

Operational & Team Management

  • Manage full lifecycle of collection projects, collaborating with internal departments to deliver to client expectations.
  • Liaise with Accounts team to reconcile client statements & credit control.
  • Champion the use of CRM.
