Salary: £30,118 -£31,107 per annum actual salary Main Purpose Provide high-quality technical and practical support to the Art Department, ensuring a safe, organised, and inspiring environment for creative learning. Support teaching by preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and assisting in lessons across Art, Photography, and Textiles. Key Responsibilities Technical & Practical Support Maintain and safely operate specialist tools and equipment. Prepare and deliver materials and resources for lessons, exhibitions, and displays. Assist teachers during practical sessions and demonstrate safe use of equipment. Offer 1:1 or small-group technical support and help with exhibitions and displays. Health & Safety Maintain safe working practices in line with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations. Prepare and update risk assessments and ensure proper storage of materials. Report maintenance issues and arrange staff safety training. Resources & Inventory Monitor and order art materials, checking deliveries and stock levels. Keep accurate loan and inventory records. Liaise with suppliers for cost-effective or donated materials. Creative & Educational Support Support and curate art exhibitions and displays within and beyond the school. Accompany students on trips and workshops; assist with digital and creative projects. Lead small tutorials to develop student technical skills. General Responsibilities Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection policies. Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion. Build positive relationships and share technical expertise across the department. Participate in training and contribute to the wider ethos of the school.
