Salary: £2134 (we equate this to 11 days of activity at £194 per day, with 3.5 hours for facilitation and 3.5 hours for prep per week) - Workshop fixed day - Thursdays 10am - 1pm Deadline: 22.09.26 at 5PM As part of our Healing Arts for All project, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Paul Hamlyn Foundation, we are looking for our next creative practitioner to guide our participants through 12 weeks of creative workshops specifically focused on the stories and lives of the South Asian community that worked at Brierfield Mill, an integral part of Pendle's extensive industrial history. In our previous phases we have explored surface pattern, sound art, photography, mixed media, illustration and textiles, with visits to Lancashire Archives to give historical contexts and an insight into archival materials. Our project is due to finish in 2027, where there will be a final exhibition of works made throughout the project by all participants and creative practitioners. - You will develop and support the community to create final creative outputs that will be exhibited in a celebration event at the end of the first year of the project and will also be put towards the final exhibition at the end of the third year of the project. - Each participant shall develop a portfolio of work showing the development of their research proposal and the creative skills they are developed in this phase of the project. - Submit a ONE page (maximum) Expression of Interest highlighting why you are interested in this creative residency and ideas for how your creative practises could support this phase of the project.Job Summary

- A Creative Practitioner specialising in film (this may be through stop motion animation, film collages, projections).
- A Creative Practitioner with experience in developing and implementing creative research methods.
- A Creative Practitioner with experience in creating socially engaged creative outputs.
- Relevant Artistic Degree / Experience.
- A Creative Practitioner with experience with engaging and working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and listen to the voices of our community, supporting it to pursue its research interests.
