The Artist Development Project Manager delivers and manages a year-long programme of development opportunities for artists and creatives working in Theatre, including workshops, residencies and collaborations, nurturing relationships with existing partners and exploring new potential collaborators. Working as part of the Artist Development Team, the role is directly responsible for building and maintain relationships with artists and creatives working in Theatre, including exploring new public-facing programmes, together with the Head of Artist Development and the Theatre team. The Artist Development Project Manager leads on providing guidance to Theatre Artists, providing guidance on funding, production, communications and touring whilst supporting them to navigate the regional Theatre scene. The Artist Development Project Manager works closely with the Head of Artist Development to ensure the programme supports the wider organisation's strategy and goals. This role works closely with other departments at HOME to develop a dynamic, creative programme that enables artists to meaningfully develop. Working knowledge and strong understanding of Theatre, including the local, regional and national scene. Experience of producing and touring Theatre shows to multiple venues. Experience in project management, including budgeting and administration across multiple projects. Experience delivering and managing artist development programmes. Experience providing guidance to emerging and mid-career Theatre artists. Experience implementing monitoring and evaluation methods. Excellent organisational, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and as part of a team. Effective IT skills with strong attention to detail. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required. Able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. Plan, manage and deliver HOME's Artist Development programmes for Theatre creatives alongside the Head of Artist Development. Manage high-quality development projects including commissions, skills development, networking and residencies in HOME Arches and online. Devise initiatives to show work-in-development to wider audiences. Provide guidance to Theatre artists on funding, production and presentation. Lead relationships with freelancers, advisors and partners across Greater Manchester. Nurture strategic partnerships regionally and nationally. Support fundraising and manage multiple project budgets. Implement monitoring and evaluation and provide reports as required. Work with Marketing and Communications to profile Artist Development locally and nationally. Advocate for HOME's Artist Development work at relevant networks and events.
