This is a consultative role to oversee the artistic content of the Society's concert season. The Artistic Consultant is responsible to the Society's Committee of Trustees and will work in close partnership with the Concert Programme Manager. The role requires approximately 15 days per year to be worked around the programming of auditions and concerts. This is a free-lance position. The role will be paid at £275 per day plus travel expenses paid on receipt of invoices (based on 8 hours per day). The role can be undertaken from home other than attendance at auditions, concerts and Trustee Committee meetings as required. Performance of the role will be reviewed by the Chair of the Trustees on an annual basis. The contract will be reviewed every three years. The Artistic Consultant may also be asked to advise on or participate in other projects which the Society may wish to undertake. These will be in addition to the key responsibilities listed below and will be commissioned and remunerated separately and by agreement with the Trustees.
