Job Summary

London Concertante is one of the UK’s leading chamber ensembles, founded in 1991. The ensemble performs throughout the UK and abroad, giving more than 200 concerts per year. We have a very busy season ahead and a number of exciting projects alongside our regular touring schedule.

Job Description

We are looking for a highly-motivated intern to come and gain valuable experience in working in Arts Management and Marketing, learning the promotion and day-to-day running of a busy, thriving arts organisation. We are looking for applicants to join a small team, working with an emphasis on marketing and concert management, but also to work across, and develop skills in, all areas of concert promotion. Applicants would be needed to travel on tour with the ensemble as well to help manage concerts.

We expect applicants to have a good knowledge and understanding of the classical music scene. Successful applicants will also have a good knowledge of marketing (particularly social media) and exemplary organisational skills.

We have a six-month internship to offer to a successful applicant from August 2025.

Job Responsibilities

Role includes:

  • Assisting the Concerts Manager on concert days, including recruiting a small team of ushers.
  • Preparing music for each concert
  • Preparing audience lists for each event
  • Assisting with merchandise sales (and sometimes a bar) at concerts
  • Liaise with ticketing outlets
  • Dealing with audience enquiries
  • Assisting with the preparation of the vans, and liaising with roadies, ready for the weekend ahead
  • Co-ordinating with the marketing manager to ensure concert publicity is optimised
  • Updating the website
  • Listing concerts on the ticketing platforms
  • Assisting with social media posts at concerts and assisting the marketing department with the curation of social media strategy
