Assistant Art Teacher for Children's Art Club, Arty Amber Ltd

Arty Amber is a multi-award winning art education initiative in the North West Herts area for children 4+. We work with schools and venues to provide after school art clubs, holiday art clubs, private tuition, GCSE/A level tuition and adult courses.

We have a PART TIME Art Teaching Assistant position available in a Watford WD3 primary school for a freelance, highly creative, engaging and experienced artist who is able to use multiple mediums whilst creating a wonderfully friendly and interactive environment for 4-11 year olds. The role includes set up and pack down with some medium-heavy lifting compulsory, to interact with the children, assist with art works and to assist the teacher. The fee is £17 per hour paid monthly upon an invoice and the role starts immediately.

AVAILABILITY:

- Thursdays, 2.45-4.45pm (2 hours), during term time only in Watford WD3, immediate start.

- Additional temporary hours may become available on an ad hoc basis

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

The applicant should have:

- Diploma in Fine Art (or equivalent) or art practice/experience.

- An Enhanced DBS (not just a DBS), or be willing to get one.

- Ability to move medium-heavy equipment - tables, chairs, bags of art gear.

- At least 6 months experience working with children under 12 years in any capacity.

- At least 6 months teaching or assistant teaching experience.

- PLI (Public Liability Insurance), which can be obtained through Arts Network.

- Safeguarding certificate (or be willing to get one)
