Job Summary

To provide administrative support to the Senior Artist Manager and CEO & Artistic Director of the Young Classical Artists Trust.

Job Description

This position is a perfect opportunity for a bright, motivated and well-organised individual to develop a broad range of skills and thorough understanding of the classical music industry, whilst helping to support exceptional young artists at a crucial point in their careers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Artist Administration: Liaise with venues and artists for travel, accommodation, rehearsals, and concerts. Prepare schedules, assist with bookings and visa applications, maintain records, and process invoices
  • Auditions Coordination: Manage the YCAT auditions process, including handling applications, fees, and schedules. Assist with the smooth running of semi-final and final auditions at Wigmore Hall
  • Concert Support: Help organise YCAT Wigmore Hall Lunchtime Concert Series by managing guest lists, liaising with venues, and coordinating recordings and PRS forms
  • Media & Communications: Update the website, archive media, and assist with newsletters and social media. Support fundraising and communication initiatives with stakeholders.
  • General Administration: Act as the first point of contact for enquiries, coordinate artist photo shoots, and provide office support

Job Requirements

  • Ability to quickly understand and recall complex, multi-layered info
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines

  • Strong verbal & written communication, with confidence to engage professionally with artists, promoters, and industry professionals

  • Ability to be proactive and creative in providing practical solutions to unexpected challenges

  • A well-organised, team player with a motivated and adaptable approach

  • Willingness to take on new tasks and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a personable, approachable demeanour to foster strong industry relationships

  • Ability to handle sensitive artist information with discretion

  • Commitment to supporting artists in achieving their professional goals and fostering their careers

  • A strong understanding of classical music, industry trends, and artist management principles is desirable
