Audition, Rehearsal and Preview Fee: £2,750 (totalling 210 hours over 6 weeks - 4 days per week in auditions and 5.5 days per week in rehearsals)
Weekly Retainer from w/c 21st September 2026: £300 (3 - 10 hours per week)Job Requirements
Previous experience of supporting a director in a resident or assistant director role.
Experience working with 1st and 2nd covers is desirable.
Candidates who can be flexible and work well as part of a team.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Attending auditions.
Preparation of understudies, including 1st and 2nd covers.
Supporting the Director and Associate Director.
Watching and noting one show per week.
Maintaining the artistic standard of the Production in conjunction with the Director and Associate Director (seeking the Director's approval where appropriate).
Directing weekly understudy rehearsals and giving notes.
Liaising with the Director, Associate Director, Creative Team and Producer.
Coordinating and, if necessary, attending post-show discussions and wrap-around events. Useful Links
