Part-time (2 days a week, flexible) The Assistant Music Director (AMD) will assist the Music Director (MD) in overseeing all aspects of Sizewell Creative's music, leading local groups and outreach, and working with the MD to support wider projects and collaborations. The role will start when a successful candidate is hired and end in March 2027 to align with the existing project plan. Salary: When hourly work is needed, rates will be in line with this day rate figure. The successful candidate will need to agree final contract terms and be onboarded via a Sizewell C preferred contracting agency. The closing date for applications is 10th January 2025 however we will be reviewing applications and conducting interviews on a rolling basis so the position may be filled before this date. Role Requirements As this role may involve working with children, an enhanced DBS certificate is a requirement of the role. Desirable, but not necessary: Based in, or well connected to, the Suffolk area Experience in opera and large-scale choral events Experience in leading music at a community / amateur level Schools experience / experience working with young people. Responsibilities may include: Ongoing musical delivery for Sizewell Creative Projects within Suffolk, involving community, schools, and the Sizewell C workforce.
