Britten Pears Arts (BPA) is a pioneering Music & Arts based charity, situated on the beautiful Suffolk coast, working across a wide range of activities. Music-related charitable work includes Artist Development, a year-round Performance Programme, Music in the Community and Creative Health and our Living Heritage Museum and Archive at The Red House. Residencies sit at the heart of our artist development programme, and following a new BPA strategy, we are committed to welcoming artists and projects onto the programme that we want to develop right through to presentation. Starting with a safe and supportive environment to be creative and take risks, artists will embark on a journey with us that will enable a step change in their career and culminate in a performance within our year-round performance programme. Much of this work will be delivered in collaboration with like-minded and curious partners both nationally and internationally. We expect that each year there will be multiple residency patches, some with new artists and ideas, and some which are a continuation of projects. Some residencies will support the wider programme and be in preparation for the Aldeburgh Festival, and some will continue our development of new opera work. The Assistant Producer will deliver these residencies throughout the year, supported by the Programme Manager, Residencies & New Music and other team colleagues as appropriate. This will include pre-residency preparation, as well as taking care of the artists whilst they're at BPA.Job Description
