Rochat Art Consultancy is looking for a dynamic and flexible assistant to join the team. This is a diverse and varied role, with responsibilities including but not limited to: Various research tasks, art market research using ArtNet, creating mood boards and research documents for clients, creating proposal documents for clients, social media posting, organising and supervising art hanging locally/intentionally and arranging all shipping locally/internationally. The successful candidate will report directly to the owner of the company to provide day to day and administrative support. We are looking for a confident individual that has experience within an art advisory or a commercial gallery. This position is well suited for a driven individual with experience working on ambitious projects in a small team, who is well organised and motivated. There is scope for the right person to grow into a client facing/ art advisory role within the company, we will be looking for this potential when interviewing. Office hours: Monday to Friday 10am - 6pm Duties and responsibilities: - Responsible for all registrarial tasks. This includes but is not limited to organising artwork logistics, local and international shipments, and maintaining records - Organise and supervise artwork hangings locally and internationally - Contact galleries to enquire about art works - Build and maintain relationships with art galleries, shippers, framers, technicians etc. - Research and write texts on artists and art movements - Art market research using ArtNet/ Live Art databases - Creating mood boards and research documents for clients - Creating proposal documents - General PA tasks for the owner of the company - Social media management, writing and posting content for instagram - Maintaining the company website - Updating client databases Skills and experience: - Highly reliable - Exceptional organisational skills - Precision and great attention to detail - Must be flexible and able to travel - Excellent command of the English language and strong numerical skills - Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Apple iWork Suite - Comfortable on social media - Ability to be proactive and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously - Strong and clear communicator, able to work maturely within a small team environment as well as independently - Previous experience using art databases - Previous experience in a registrarial role - At least two years' previous experience in an art advisory of commercial art gallery To apply please email a CV and cover letter to:Job Description
