Job Summary

Richard Saltoun Gallery is seeking an Associate Director (or Sales & Exhibitions Lead) to join the London team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining client relationships, helping to drive sales, shaping the gallery's programme, introducing new artists and contributing to the gallery's planning.

The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with outstanding interpersonal skills, a positive outlook, and a knowledge of modern and contemporary art.

Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years of gallery experience in a related field.

Title and salary will be commensurate with experience.

Job Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Discretion and the ability to handle confidential information.
  • A team-orientated mindset and flexibility to perform various tasks.
  • Computer literacy, with knowledge of ArtLogic, InDesign and Excel preferable.
  • Working knowledge of AML.

Job Responsibilities

  • Sales: Cultivating and maintaining client relationships, helping to drive sales, and contributing to the gallery's planning.
  • Exhibition and programme management: Shaping, coordinating, and managing the gallery's exhibition schedule and programme, and introducing new artists.
  • Staff and relationship management: Supervising staff, maintaining relationships with artists, collectors, and other organisations, as needed.
  • Operations: Helping to ensure the smooth running of the gallery.
