We are looking for an experienced Freelance Associate Producer to join our making and touring team who has a passion for innovative storytelling.

With a proven track record of bringing bold stories to life, and at least three years' experience in a similar position, this role will be integral to the work that Mind the Gap makes next.

With strong relationship building skills and a keen eye for detail, we are excited to hear from people who have strong tour booking and programming experience and who can develop and position Mind the Gap's creative work for the right audiences and venues.

Details of Contract:
This is a 6-month contract with the possibility for further extension.

Fee: A total of £13,000 over 65 days @ £200 p/d.

nterviews: Wednesday 9th September at Mind the Gap, Bradford. Interviews will be an informal meeting with the Creative Director and Executive Producer, with an opportunity to see MTG Studios and meet our Artists.

Start Date: October 2026

Job Responsibilities

Work closely with the Creative Director to realise artistic visions into viable productions.

Draft, negotiate, and finalise agreements with artists, venues, co-producers, and stakeholders.

Create, track, and manage production budgets to ensure financial viability and efficiency.

Produce and manage small to mid-scale theatre tours, overseeing venue booking & negotiation, scheduling, and logistics.

Nurture and maintain strong professional relationships with venues, artists, partners, promoters and networks.

Collaborate closely with marketing and comms teams to drive audience engagement and ticket sales.

Work closely with the Creative Director to support Mind the Gap's Artists to develop their independent work.

Work with the Executive Producer to draft fundraising applications, grant proposals, and reporting for public funding bodies, where necessary.

Apply knowledge of the theatre sector and touring landscapes to Mind the Gap's making & touring work.
