Job Description
This role consists of weekly teaching on Sundays from 10:00-16:30 with 30 minutes paid lunch break, during university term time. This includes: 45 minutes intermediate pointe, 1 hour 15 minutes higher inter technique, 1 hour each for our two show teams, 1 hour 45 minutes lower inter technique and 45 minutes of improvers pointe.
Our show teams run from beginner to inter advanced level and showcase dances throughout the year with approximately one routine per semester, in which the successful applicant will choreograph. We are looking for a dedicated, knowledgeable and experienced teacher who is able to create beautiful dances which fit the appropriate level.
Our annual showcase is always based on a theme. If you are successfully invited to an interview, we will provide a theme for you to explore. We'd then like you to find appropriately-fitting music and then choreograph a small section of eye-catching choreography to teach at the interview. The interview will be very relaxed and structured like a normal short ballet class, and will end in the choreography you have come up with.
Job Requirements
Candidates must be able to commit 9 months of teaching (September 2025 to June 2026), with the opportunity to extend this into the next academic year.
Teaching experience is preferred.
