His Majesty's Theatre is home to the renowned Phantom of the Opera, one of London's longest running musicals - truly a staple in London's West End! We are currently looking for proactive and engaging Bar Supervisor to join our team.

The Bar & Retail team are the face of Her Majesty's Theatre and play a key role in ensuring our guests are welcomed into a safe and secure environment. The Bar Supervisor plays a crucial role in leading and motivating the team to provide a service with the highest standards.

As Bar Supervisor, you will be supervising the F&B Operation across the building ensuring our bars are well-presented, sales are being driven, and all of our guests' expectations are met.

Rate of pay: ÂŁ14.91 per hour (30 hours per week, 6 days per week)

Job Requirements

What we need…

  • Previous supervisory experience with an understanding of Front of House operations.
  • Previous experience of stock management and working with EPOS systems.
  • Confidence leading a small team.
  • Experience dealing with difficult situations and successfully resolving conflict.
  • A calm and efficient approach when presented with fast evolving incidents.
  • Passion for exemplary customer service, to ensure our guests' experience is memorable.
  • The ability to build a strong rapport with guests and colleagues in an engaging and professional manner.
  • A team player who is comfortable working as part of a family of individuals.
  • A "can do" attitude with the ability to adapt to the fast pace of live theatre.
  • A conscientious approach; with an eye for detail.
  • Striving for excellence in every detail of the job.
  • Impeccable presentation.

Job Responsibilities

What you'll be doing...

  • Supporting the management team to maintain a smooth operation in your designated area of the building by effectively leading and inspiring your team of peers both front of house and behind the bars concurrently.
  • Maintaining open communication with the management team regarding operational procedures.
  • Liaising with our Commercial Head Office team and external suppliers to continue to present and provide the best product options to our guests.
  • Being a key player in our exciting and diverse team of individuals to help stage the extraordinary.
  • Upholding our Customer Charter by putting the guest experience at the forefront of everything you do.
  • Welcoming our guests into this truly amazing building in an energetic and proactive manner.
  • Ensuring our guests are free to relish and enjoy the spectacle on stage in a safe and secure environment by following our strict security procedures.
