ABOUT THE TRAINEESHIP We are delighted to be able to offer an Early Career Traineeship alongside our upcoming creation and touring of Bloom - a brand new Spring-themed show for older adults in care settings, including those living with Dementia. Bloom will be created through residencies in care homes, hospitals and day centres so this is a unique opportunity to get an insight into how we work with communities to directly influence the development of our shows. This PAID opportunity will include: - Shadowing research and development in community and studio spaces - Shadowing rehearsals - Learning repertoire - Gaining experience of working in care home, hospital and professional studio contexts - Shadowing some tour dates. The trainee will receive £100 per day, for 15 days shadowing in total. The show will blend dance, live music/ singing and characterisation so the opportunity would suit applicants with interest or experience in any or all of these elements. The traineeship will include Dementia Friends training and our experienced team will be available to support and guide, so this can be an opportunity to develop skills and learn more about the nuances of working with those living with Dementia. ABOUT BLOOM Bloom will celebrate the hope, light and wonder that comes with the changing of the season. Warm rays after a long Winter, the seedlings that follow the frost, the show will notice the magical moments, the power of renewal and the comfort of emerging from hibernation knowing brighter days are on their way. It will take into account a range of traditions and cultural celebrations used to mark the emergence of Spring in different countries, cultures and eras, and imagine new ways of welcoming it here and now.
