Good day, everyone!

Here at Dance&Arts, we are currently looking for a lovely teacher to cover our available Board Games, Lego and Origami Afterschool Club for a short, three-week period.

Please see the details below:

  • Cover Board Games, Lego and Origami Afterschool Club

  • Every Thursday, from 3:45 to 4:45 pm

  • Dates: from the 9th of October until the 23rd of October (three sessions total)

  • In a primary school in the Hackney area E8.

  • Kids are from KS1 (6-7 years old).

  • The club is a creative and playful club where children can enjoy board games, build with LEGO, and explore simple paper crafts like origami.

***Pay is £35 per hour.

ESSENTIAL: Enhanced DBS check, commitment, and high reliability.

Job Requirements

  • Passion for teaching young children (ages 4-16).
  • Demonstrable experience and expertise in your chosen field (experience with creative play, craft, or games is a plus).
  • Ability to create a dynamic, inclusive, and safe class environment.
  • Strong group management skills and a positive, playful approach.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one before employment).
  • Right to Work in the UK (preferably residing in the London area).

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate sessions, providing guidance for building, gaming, and crafting activities.
  • Foster confidence, teamwork, and self-expression through active participation.
  • Ensure each session is structured, fun, and aligned with Dance&Arts' teaching philosophy.
