The Role
We're looking for a dynamic, results-driven professional with a talent for business development and fundraising. You'll take the lead in securing corporate sponsorships, developing strategic partnerships, and identifying new income opportunities. Your work will directly support our mission, ensuring our projects continue to transform lives.

What You'll Do:

  • Secure Sponsorships & Partnerships: Develop and maintain relationships with businesses that align with our mission.
  • Fundraising & Business Development: Research and pursue new funding opportunities, crafting compelling proposals.
  • Outreach & Networking: Represent ZLDT at industry and community events, building valuable connections.
  • Market Research & Strategy: Stay ahead of trends in corporate giving and sponsorship, shaping our approach for maximum impact.

Who You Are:

  • A proven business development professional with experience in fundraising, sales, or marketing.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining relationships, with a creative approach to generating income.
  • Target-driven with strong project management, proposal writing, and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of the creative industries or fundraising in the not-for-profit sector is desirable

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will be an experienced team player, able to demonstrate these qualities:

  • A proven track record in developing new business with experience working in a fundraising or sales / marketing environment
  • Ability to research and target new industry sectors to develop new business
  • Ability to create new leads and contacts, drawing on creative thinking and new ideas to generate business income
  • Target focused with effective project management, prioritisation and planning skills; excellent writing skills including proposals and reports
  • Advanced relationship building skills and ability to provide continuity in managing key relationships
  • Commitment to managing own learning and continuous professional development relevant to the role

Desirable qualities:

  • Have knowledge of the creative industries and experience in fundraising for not-for-profit organisations.
  • Experience in cultivating philanthropic relationships

Job Responsibilities

Key responsibilities

Sponsorship and Corporate Partnerships: Identify and secure commercial sponsorships aligned with ZLDT's mission. Develop and manage a subscription model to attract and retain corporate partners. Cultivate strong relationships with existing and potential sponsors.

Fundraising and Pipeline Development: Research and pursue new funding opportunities.

Establish and maintain a sustainable fundraising pipeline. Collaborate with the team to develop creative proposals and campaigns.

Stakeholder Engagement & Outreach: Represent ZLDT at networking events, industry functions, and community activities. Build partnerships that enhance the company's reach and reputation.

Market Research and Strategy: Stay informed about trends in corporate giving and sponsorship within the arts. Provide insights to improve ZLDT's offerings and appeal to partners. Contribute to strategic plans for growth and impact.
