Job Description This is a high-intensity, non-creative operational role, based across our 3 studios in Leyton E10, Hoxton E2 and Highgate N6. While it offers exposure to diverse pottery practices & community, the primary focus is maintaining a functional environment for a community of 200+ members. This is currently offered as a 3 month fixed term contract with provision to move to permanent at the end of the period, subject to agreement. Experience in an open-access ceramic studio is essential, as well as being confident in the processes of making ceramics (including loading and firing kilns). Ideal candidates have a background in hospitality or service industries and possess good people skills. Desirable: Experience in mixing large batches of glazes (10kg+) Core Hours: 2 shifts (11 hrs) p/week, with additional flexible cover shifts available Ideal Start Date: Week starting 9th February Benefits - When working equal to or more than 15 hours per week, staff receive free studio membership following a successful probation period. - Hourly rota paid at £13.85 - Opportunities to develop your skills as a maker through our creative programme (ie; discounted or free courses, workshops & community collaboration) Security & Autonomy Schedule & Flexibility Availability: Availability for evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays is essential.
