White Cube is a leading contemporary commercial gallery which represents over 60 international artists and artist estates and has locations across three continents with established galleries in London, Paris, Hong Kong, Seoul and New York. Since its inception in 1993, the gallery has exhibited the work of many of the world's most highly acclaimed contemporary artists. Our mission is to promote cultural exchange and foster an appreciation for diverse artistic expressions.

White Cube is seeking a talented and creative client manager to support that team at senior level with the experience and knowledge of managing a large client database and demonstrable in-depth knowledge of the contemporary art market. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment, bringing exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Working closely with the Global Director, and the sales team, the Client manager will be responsible for the smooth running of the Global Directors primary and secondary market sales gaining in-depth knowledge of artists while assisting with White Cube's openings and events, and creating the optimal client experience.

Job Requirements

  • Must have proven experience in supporting at senior level with selling activity upwards of £15m per annum
  • Must have strong initiative to strategise and target clients throughout the year, maximising all selling opportunities
  • Must have a sound knowledge of both buying and selling psychologies
  • Must have confidence in managing a large client database and be methodical in recording data, pulling reports and analysing data
  • Must be able to manage the Global Directors time effectively to allow focused time dedicated to selling activities
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of contemporary art market
  • Have experience in delegation and people management

Secondary Market Management

General:

  • Cover for EA colleague during periods of absence such as annual leave / sickness etc
  • Holds joint line management responsibilities for Sales Coordinator (50% dedicated to office)
  • Accompany Global Director to relevant meetings with clients and museums where required
  • Meet with clients and museums as required in Global Director's absence
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of primary and secondary artists
  • Work at openings and events, as required
  • Work flexible hours during international art fairs and peak selling moments including weekends
  • Attend internal meetings and participate, as required

Please note that the advertised salary banding for this role is dependent on experience.
