Midlands Arts Centre (MAC) is a dynamic contemporary arts centre and independent charity based in Birmingham’s leafy Cannon Hill Park. We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Marketing Officer to join our Marketing team on a part time basis.

About MAC and MAC Trading

This role sits within MAC's wider marketing team. Its specific focus is to develop and deliver marketing campaigns that promote MAC's commercial activities to both business and customer stakeholders with the ultimate objective of boosting revenue and engagement.

MAC's commercial activities fall under the remit of MAC Trading, a subsidiary of Midlands Arts Centre (MAC).

MAC Trading delivers

  • MAC's extensive venue hire business, including conferences and meetings
  • MAC's catering offer, including venue hire hospitality, MAC's KILN Caf , KILN Express and MAC Bar
  • MAC's Shop and retail offer

This role will work closely with all of the individual commercial teams and the wider marketing team to support the delivery of sales targets and positive profile that ultimately benefit the charity.

Principal Purpose of Post

You'll deliver dynamic, multi-channel marketing campaigns that shine a spotlight on MAC's commercial offer - captivating both corporate clients and everyday visitors. Your work will directly boost engagement, revenue, and, ultimately support MAC's wider charitable mission.

This role sits at the heart of our Marketing Team, with strong ties to our commercial teams across catering, retail and venue hire.

  • To measurably increase profile, awareness and engagement relating to MAC's commercial activities (Business to Business, B2B) and Business to Consumer, B2C)
  • To initiate and deliver comprehensive digital and offline marketing campaigns and tactics in line with MAC's Business Plan and strategic priorities

This is a part time post of 22.5 hours per week. The salary is £16,564 per year (£27,607 full time equivalent).
