Create London is looking for a highly motivated and organised Communications and Social Media Manager. You will be responsible for all of Create's core communications, including digital communications, social media and the website. The role will also involve managing cross-promotional campaigns.

HOURS: 0.4 FTE (2 days per week); Open to other part-time arrangements

SALARY: £30,000 pro rata (£12,000)

TERM: Temporary, Parental leave cover (10 months)

REPORTING TO: Head of Strategic Operations

ANNUAL LEAVE: 28 days pro rata, plus statutory holidays

Create London is looking for a highly motivated and creative Communications and Social Media Manager to join our team for at least 10 months. You will play a key role in creating audience development content to support ambitions to diversify and expand our audiences, especially with a local focus in our priority areas of Newham and Barking & Dagenham.

You will be responsible for all of Create's core communications, including digital communications, social media and the website. Working closely with the senior team, your task is to ensure that all communication fits with the organisational strategy and brand, are inclusive and accessible to different audiences and informed by analytics. You will also manage relationships with partner organisations to realise effective cross-promotional opportunities and, with the Head of Development, ensure that funder and stakeholder relationships are appropriately maintained and acknowledged.

The role requires a detail-focused, collaborative and imaginative approach as well as excellent written, oral and visual communication skills. Also essential is an appreciation of the fluid and responsive nature of a small, pioneering arts organisation and eagerness to work creatively within a vibrant work environment.

You will be based at Create London's office in Dagenham and may be required to work from other Create London premises. Hybrid working is supported although staff are required to work at least 50% of their hours from Create London premises. Working hours are 9.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, but we are open to flexible hours to accommodate different life situations. You may be required to work some evenings and weekends as the programme dictates.

Job Responsibilities

EXPERIENCE

Experience of managing digital and social media outputs for an organisation, creating new content and developing audiences

Experience of website management and development

Proven track record of successful press and marketing campaigns in visual arts and/or architecture

Experience of working with content management systems and digital marketing platforms

KNOWLEDGE

Understanding of the UK's art and architecture sectors

A clear understanding of how to grow the online reach of an organisation

Knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign

Understanding of audience data segmentation and audience development

A high level of digital literacy, proficient in Microsoft Office, as well as all relevant digital platforms

COMPETENCIES

Strong communication skills, ability to manage a range of stakeholder relationships

Well-developed writing, presentation and interpersonal skills

Strong digital communications skills and an understanding of the digital space
