Manchester Cathedral is delivering a major NLHF-funded heritage project, 'Our Cathedral, Our City', which will deepen our work with communities and shape future interpretation, outreach, and events. The Community Heritage Officer will help design and deliver this work during the Development Phase, with continuation into Delivery subject to a successful Stage 2 award. Working with the Activity Planner, the activity plan team, consultants and Cathedral staff, you will develop community-led activity planning, map and engage target groups, and support the creation of a new Community Advisory Group. You will build relationships with diverse partners, including the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment, Challenging Hate Forum, youth organisations, volunteers and visitor groups, ensuring their voices and stories shape the project's outcomes. The role includes co-creating heritage-inspired events, discussion-based projects, and exhibitions; developing a stakeholder engagement plan; and supporting evidence collection, evaluation and reporting. You will help pilot activities during Development and contribute to a long-term programme for Delivery. We are seeking someone with strong experience of community engagement, relationship-building and working with diverse groups.
