Job Description

This new role will play a central part in the delivery of Pitzhanger's Arts Council England-funded Community Participation Project, with a focus on engaging South Asian, Black, Afro-Caribbean and wider Global Majority communities in the London Borough of Ealing. Taking inspiration from our exhibitions and historic parkland, this project will celebrate the natural world through a mixture of workshops, drop-in events, family sessions and consultations, with the aim of bringing new and underrepresented audiences to Pitzhanger, as well as helping to build connections within our Borough.

Over a fixed term from July to November 2026, the role will design, deliver and evaluate inclusive consultation, co-creation, outreach and engagement programmes. Reporting to the Head of Public Programmes, you will grow existing initiatives, develop new ones, and build sustainable partnerships that embed long-term, accessible change across families, young people and adults. Throughout the project you will evaluate the performance and impact of activities and approaches, feeding into Pitzhanger's ongoing development and creating a long-lasting project legacy.

We particularly encourage and welcome applications from people from backgrounds which are underrepresented in museums and galleries, including people from low-income backgrounds, people from Black, Asian and ethnically diverse backgrounds and disabled people.

This is a flexible role, with the option to work full time or part time, with remote working opportunities considered.

Please note that the post involves some weekend and occasional evening working. We will also require an Enhanced DBS check.

To arrange an informal chat about the role please email Richard Parry, Head of Programmes at [email protected].
