We are a small-scale theatre in a listed building, set in the heart of the idyllic Cotswold's town of Chipping Norton. Our pantomime packs a punch and has received numerous UK Pantomime Award nominations, including Best UK Panto, and is regularly listed in the best UK Christmas shows in national newspapers. With original script and music each year, the show is packed full of fun, song dance and silliness. Chippy Panto is a Theatre tradition and has been a town institution for fifty years. This year's production is the classic story of Beauty and the Beast but, as with all Chipping Norton pantomimes, there's a twist! This is an Equity UK Theatre contract, and you will receive payment weekly, along with subsistence allowance. We match you with a local digs host for the run and we reimburse your travel on your first and last journeys, between the theatre and your home address. Rates: £750 p/w rehearsals (27th Oct - 16th Nov 2025) plus weekly subs at £227.50 per week £930 p/w performances (17th Nov 2025 - 18th Jan 2026) plus weekly subs at £227.50 per week The general working pattern will be up to six days a week, operating two shows a day and assisting with resets, with an average working week of 46 hours. Where possible, an additional day off each week will be provided. The role will report to the Producers, and work closely with the Director, Technical Manager and Production Manager. You will be managing a cast of 8 performers, 2 musicians, up to 12 young people, 1 Deputy Stage Manager and 1 Assistant Stage Manager who is part of The Theatre's technical department.
