James Steel Productions is looking for an experienced Company Stage Manager to come on board for an exciting new play making its London debut later this year. Salary(pro rata): £666.79/week during rehearsals £786.32/week during performances Hours: 6-day working weeks (Monday to Saturday); 8 shows per week Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract - Full Time Key dates are as follow: Rehearsals 10th to 29th of November Get-in: 1st December 2025 First Preview: 4th December 2025 Press Night: 9th December 2025 (tbc) Final Performance: 10th January 2026 Candidates should have professional experience in a company stage management role and the ability to lead a team effectively. Strong communication, organisational skills, and the ability to work calmly under pressure are required. Core Responsibilities Manage all stage management operations across rehearsals, technical rehearsals, and performances. Create, distribute, and maintain daily schedules, call sheets, and reports. Serve as primary liaison between, cast, crew, and production teams. Ensure adherence to health & safety protocols and support a safe working environment. Coordinate cast and crew logistics. Support Cast & Crew Wellbeing Skills Required Proven experience in company management within theatre, live performance, or touring productions. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Calm, flexible, and solution-oriented with the ability to adapt quickly to change.
