Havering Changing Consortium Members take a collective responsibility for providing strategic oversight and direction for the Havering Changing project, with operational management from the Project Director and staff team employed by Queen's Theatre Hornchurch.
The role of the Independent Chair is to lead the Consortium, ensuring
that it fulfils its responsibilities for the governance of the project, and to support the Havering Changing Project Director to achieve the aims of the project.
The chair is responsible for chairing meetings for the Creative People
and Places programme. This is not a Trustee role, and the role is not
accountable to Companies House or the Charity Commission.

Job Requirements

Lead and inspire the Havering Changing Consortium, ensuring
Havering Changing makes best use of the talents and resources of
its members and diversifying the consortium as needed;
Work with the Project Director and Consortium to develop Havering
Changing's aims and strategy and ensure the CPP programme acts
in accordance with its Arts Council England funding agreement and
local partnership agreement;
Ensure the effective operation of the Consortium in fulfilling its
governance and funding agreement obligations;
Chair the monthly Consortium meetings in line with agreed ways of
working and ensuring all members have an opportunity to be fully
heard;
Scoping and confirming the Consortium meeting agenda items and
matters for discussion;
Enabling and overseeing the processes of decision-making, conflict
resolution and actual or perceived conflicts of interest where they
may arise (following Havering Changing Conflict of Interest Policy);
