HandMade Theatre is a company that creates interactive experiences using devised theatre, music, puppetry, and storytelling to engage communities and intergenerational audiences. The Butterfly House is a new outdoor show for family audiences, exploring the life cycle of the butterfly through puppets, music, and a little tech twist, to interact with audiences. This show is being created thanks to a commission from Applause Rural Touring and grants for the arts funded by Arts Council England, for summer 2026. We are looking for an early-career maker for an internship role supporting the construction of costumes and puppets for The Butterfly House, using sustainable materials. Confident sewer working with a range of fabrics and techniques Dates: Up to 5 days, with some taking place in May 2026; exact dates to be confirmed. Days are standard 8 hours at £120 per day.
