Course Leader BA (Hons) in Acting, The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA)

They will provide strategic leadership and management of BA actor training at RADA, working closely with the Director of Training, Director of Technical Theatre and Director of Equity to ensure an integrated and equitable training experience for all students.

We are looking for a dynamic, imaginative, and resilient Course Leader for the BA (Hons) Acting course who will provide strategic and visible leadership, delivering world-leading and industry relevant training, and ensuring a collaborative environment between staff and students across acting and technical courses. The Course Leader will be responsible for an inclusive and rigorous training environment and for building a diverse workforce and leading a cohesive and empowered faculty.

The ideal candidate will possess a wide- ranging and profound experience of actor training, supported by pertinent professional experience, as well as theoretical and academic expertise.

You will have proven experience of delivering teaching and training in Acting. (UG and/or PG level) You will have excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills and be a collaborative team player. With demonstrable pastoral skills, you will be able to deal with complex, sensitive information where persuasive, motivational, and empathic skills are required.

Relocation: candidates will be expected to live within commutable distance of RADA because an important aspect of leadership within the Academy is being present to staff and students.
