Job Summary

The Creative Commissioner will develop and deliver projects from idea to installation that are engaging, inclusive and child centred. This is a varied role that requires someone who is creative, organised and passionate about the difference art can make in healthcare.

Job Description

Salary: £32,344 to £36,963 Pro Rata

Hours: 22.5 hours per week

Overall Purpose of Role

  • Plan, deliver and oversee a range of creative commissions alongside the Creative Commissioning Manager
  • Appoint and work with freelance artists, designers, architects and digital technology companies to provide innovative improvements to the hospital
  • Engage and communicate with a range of stakeholders to develop projects which are appropriate to the needs of hospital users
  • Advocate the role and place of art in healthcare within Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust (SCNHSFT) and on a national level

Reports to: Creative Commissioning Manager

Responsible for: Contractors

Relationships and Roles:

  • To demonstrate the ability to interact and cooperate with all Charity employees.
  • To build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on delivery to supporters, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity.
  • Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet charity core values.
  • Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
