If you’re interested in hospitality and events as well as performance and theatrical production then this maybe the job for you. We are looking for someone with energy and ideas to help drive our small but colourful venue forward.

Job Description

….we have mainly hosted private events in recent times but we want to move forward with offering people a food and drink package and be open to the public more. We used to host a weekly interactive theatrical show that was irreverent and comedic and we'd like to do more of these.

ideally you'll have some experience in food and drink and you'll be keen to get involved with your own ideas, marketing the venue and driving the business forward. You don't have to be present for every single evening either; although there will be times obviously when you're needed, it's mainly a daytime job!

pay will be a fixed element plus a bonus based on monthly profits, calculated and reported by month and then paid out every three months. part time vs full time also can work.

Job Requirements

work from the bar's office but also from home as when required.

you'll be in charge of the overall creative direction, marketing, sourcing events and shows to host, managing food and drink menus (with help and input of staff)

ideally you'll live local and be a nightlife enthusiast. you ought to be proficient at answering emails, not afraid of using excel but without being an expert, and be handy at putting together Word and PDF documents.

you do not have to be a social media expert but you will likely be tasked with putting together basic posts and reels to help with marketing.

Job Responsibilities

contact various venue websites about getting the venue listed and keep abreast of viewing figures. check for ways to increase visibility.

deal with SEO companies about improving organic listing position and visibility.

help manage social media pages to keep content relevant and up to date.

contact potential customers and do viewings.

weekly (brief, basic) reports on venue condition and help with contractors to gain access and do repairs as needed.

approach and meet with chefs, food popup partners etc about hosting culinary experiences

research other venues in the area to ensure competitiveness

help with website, product offering, cocktails, packages, and put together basic PDFs with the help of designers
