We are looking for a Creative Heritage Producer to work with Croydon's Culture and Regeneration teams to support the engagement, design and delivery of a new town centre heritage trail. The successful applicant will work with the local community to gather feedback on design and delivery to ensure the trail truly reflects Croydon's people and places. They will also work closely with local Museum and Archive collections and colleagues, both within the borough and beyond, to identify source materials and resources. We are looking for someone with a strong track record of designing and delivering community engagement exploring heritage and/or public realm themes. The successful candidate will have excellent curatorial skills and experience working closely with diverse communities to uncover and celebrate local heritage stories. They will have past experience delivering successful projects which include commissioning and working with artists, fabricators and architects from inception to delivery of compelling public projects. The role will involve leading community and partner engagement to meaningfully inform the heritage trail narrative, design and form including designing workshops and events for a range of audiences. The role will also ensure that feedback and responses from the community are embedded in the trail - which will potentially include artist commissions, public art installations, online resources and public programmes - and will support audience engagement and promotion of the programme.
