Job Summary

Rebel Collective Creative Lead | Project: CULTUREshift. Haringey will be the London Borough of Culture in 2027 - a Mayor of London initiative. At the centre of Haringey’s Borough of Culture are the young people whose voices, ideas and ambitions will shape what we create and how we create it.

Job Description

CULTUREshift is a key part of our London Borough of Culture programme for children and young people. As the Creative Lead for CULTUREshift, you will develop a programme to enable 12-18 year olds to create and lead on a youth presence during LBOC. This will include recruiting, training, mentoring and supporting the Rebel Collective - a group of young people, who through the programme, will be empowered to curate and deliver their own event(s) - programming by young people, for young people. The Creative Lead will deliver regular sessions - alongside guest creative specialists - across the London Borough of Culture year from April 2027 to March 2028. We are looking for a creative or cultural organisation or independent creatives with experience of developing and delivering dynamic contemporary training programmes for young people.

You will support young people to develop, manage and curate their own events programme using the London Borough of Culture infrastructure, partners, spaces and technical support.

Hours: Flexible.

This is a fixed-term freelance engagement with a fixed fee, rather than a role with set weekly hours. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own time and determining how best to deliver the agreed scope of work over the contract period. The anticipated time commitment is approximately half a day per week on average, although this may vary depending on the stage of the project and the individual's preferred working pattern.

Interviews will be held on: Tuesday 18th August 2026
