Lincoln Arts Centre is the University of Lincoln's public arts centre with a focus on talent development, innovation, and research. It is a home for new contemporary performance and visual arts, the next generation of artists and new artistic ideas. Barbican Creative Hub is a space to develop practice, exchange ideas, and make new connections in the creative industries. We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Creative Programmes Assistant to support our the creative programmes delivered by at the arts centre. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail. The role involves liaising with artists, working to schedules, and assisting in the smooth running of various creative projects. This role offers the opportunity to be involved in a range of exciting cultural initiatives at Lincoln Arts Centre and Barbican Creative Hub, collaborating with both internal and external partners. The postholder will play a vital part in helping to deliver diverse and innovative programmes that engage students, the local community and beyond. These roles are designed for someone at the beginning of their career and we strongly recommend people from underrepresented groups and backgrounds to apply. Job Requirements

To provide efficient, effective administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the creative and commercial programmes at the Centre for Culture and Creativity, in particular to support the creative and commercial programmes across the Barbican Creative Hub and Lincoln Arts Centre.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Include: Assist with planning, coordination and delivery of the creative and commercial programme of events, performances and exhibitions. Support the development of schedules and timelines for artistic projects and events. Liaise with artists, performers and creative partners to ensure smooth communication and collaboration. Support the Sales & Scheduling Manager and General Managers with the timely issuing and collation of contracts. Keep the range of building users across Lincoln Arts Centre and Barbican Creative Hub informed and connected. Assist with the preparation and setup of event spaces and liaise with technical team regarding requirements for artists and visitors. Assist with event logistics, including catering, equipment and staffing. Assist with day-to-day event operation, supporting the General Manager to resolve issues as they arise. Keep up-to-date project management tools and softwares including Monday.com, Spektrix and Nexudus.
