Brood seeks a creative teacher to lead cooking and crafts across our fun timetable of classes, clubs and camps. You'll inspire curiosity, creativity and skills to our community of children (4-9 years) and parents & babies/toddlers.

Employment Type: Permanent, Part Time. (2-3 days a week. Overtime for busy periods. Increased hours as business grows).
Salary: From ÂŁ28k (pro-rated), with flexibility for the right candidate

Brood Family Studio: a creative space for families
Brood started as an idea to have a beautiful, calm and welcoming place for families to come together and get creative. We teach toddlers to cook feasts from around the world. We make beautiful artworks from nature. We combine baby massage with mindfulness for the parents. We teach kids how to Dance Around The World and Join The Circus.
It's an exciting time at Brood! We're outgrowing our studio and looking for a second, much bigger premises.

Job Summary: Teacher
You'll be at the heart of the action, leading engaging sessions and driving Brood's mission to nurture confidence, creativity and fun in children - and in their parents.
Parent & Child Classes
- Little Creatives: You'll lead Brood's sell-out baby and toddler classes, featuring messy play, creative activities, massage, music and singing.
- Toddler Cooking: Each week you'll guide toddlers (and their adults) to cook a new Brood original recipe - from Indian street food to rainbow sushi.
Holiday Camps & After School Clubs
- Cooking & Supper Club: You will lead Brood's extremely popular cooking after-school club, supported by assistants.
- Creative Camp: You'll work with the core team to deliver full-day holiday camps with creative activities (painting, soap making, baking, collage, mono-printing).

Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
- Teaching or facilitation experience - whether in schools, clubs, or other settings.
- Experience working with children is essential, and you should feel confident leading a group on your own and have a natural ability to connect with children.
- A creative mindset, with passion in Brood's key creative areas: Cooking, Art & Crafts.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Energetic, ambitious, and aligned with Brood's mission and values.
Preferred Skills
- Passion or skills in our secondary creative areas: Performing Arts, Wellbeing.
- Experience in operations, customer service, hospitality or management.
- Skills in areas like social media, marketing, finance, events, hospitality, or design.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching, Creativity & Community
- Deliver sessions using existing class plans, adding your own personality, warmth, and creativity.
Class Management & Admin
- Manage assistants (where applicable), delegating tasks.
- Handle all preparation and wrap-up for your classes, including communications with parents, social media updates, and keeping the studio organised.
Supervision & Childcare
- Provide attentive, caring supervision during clubs and camps, ensuring children are safe, happy, and supported throughout the day.
Community & Relationships
- Build strong, genuine relationships with families, fostering warmth and community.
Collaboration & Teamwork
- Contribute to the smooth running of Brood by supporting a variety of tasks as needed - from teaching and assisting, to admin, customer support, tidying the studio, or creating content.

- Focus on class retention, promoting sessions, and delivering an exceptional experience for families.
