New Wolsey Theatre is looking for a Company Stage Manager (CSM) with experience of working in pantomime/musical theatre and with actor musicians for our Rock 'n' Roll pantomime production of Beauty and the Beast this winter. The show is directed by Jake Smith and written by the Award-Winning comedian, writer and composer Vikki Stone. The New Wolsey Theatre was nominated as Theatre of the Year in the 2025 Stage Management Association awards, and has a national reputation for work in access and inclusion, and for pioneering the actor musician form. We have a huge impact on the public and cultural life of Ipswich and beyond. Our 400-seater midscale auditorium is perfectly formed being both epic and intimate, as such it delivers the most impactful, exhilarating, and stimulating of shows - there's not a bad seat in the house. Rehearsals will take place in central Ipswich and performances will run at New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich with selected performances being livestreamed to patrons who would otherwise be unable to attend. Dates Prep days (if possible): Friday 24th and Saturday 25th October 2025 Rehearsals: Monday 27th October 2025 - Saturday 15th November 2025 Tech week: w/c Monday 17th November 2025 First performance: Friday 21st November 2025 Opening/Press Night: Tuesday 25th November 2025 Last performance: Saturday 17th January 2026 Rate & Subsistence £608 per week(Equity Subsidised Rep Grade 2) based on a 43 hour week from Monday to Saturday inclusive. Overtime, holiday, pension, and extra performances will be paid as per the UK Theatre/Equity agreement. Plus relocation subsistence of £235 per week if applicable (where your home address is 25 miles or further from the venue), as per UK Theatre/Equity agreement. Experience of working in pantomime/musical theatre and with actor musicians is essential.
