Description

Job Summary

This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of the dynamic team that is developing the new and experimental national programme of support called the Cultural Education Network.

Job Description

This new national offer shares advice and best practice, creates peer learning opportunities, and fosters creative and cultural partnerships. The goal is to build the confidence, skills and capabilities of teachers and cultural educators in developing cultural offers for children and young people in schools across England.

The programme currently offers one-to-one advice sessions and will grow to offer events and webinars, networking and peer learning opportunities and resources for teachers and cultural educators.

As one of our new Cultural Education Specialists, you will be joining the team at an integral point in the Network's development. You will have the opportunity to help forge the direction this role takes, taking a data-driven approach through research and co-creation work and collaborating closely with other team members.

In a typical week, you will be:

  • Delivering one-to-one online support sessions
  • Developing CPD opportunities and resources for teachers and cultural educators
  • Facilitating webinars & in-person events
  • Collaborating with colleagues, teachers, and educators from the creative and cultural sector to continually develop the Cultural Education Network
  • Working closely with our partners across England to ensure our offer complements others

We are looking for an approachable, proactive, empathetic and collaborative team-player to help us grow this new initiative. To succeed in this role, you will be creative and inquisitive with an appetite for building knowledge and expertise beyond your area of specialism, always contributing to the bigger picture and using evidence-led approaches.
