Culture Compact Development Manager An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Birmingham City Council as a Cultural Compact Development Manager. This is a strategic role at the heart of Birmingham's cultural sector, leading the delivery of the city's Cultural Strategic Framework, Together on Culture. Working closely with cultural organisations, strategic partners, funders and stakeholders across the city, you will drive forward key priorities including the Creative City, Placemakers, and Magnets and Moonshots initiatives. You will play a leading role in supporting the Cultural Compact Board, developing partnerships, securing external funding, and overseeing the Compact's transition to a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). We are looking for an individual with substantial experience within the cultural, arts or creative industries sector and a passion for making a positive impact through culture. You will be able to demonstrate: Extensive knowledge of, or significant professional experience in, cultural development, arts development or the creative industries. Experience of working collaboratively with partners, stakeholders and communities.
A track record of delivering complex projects and programmes across partnership environments.
Experience of translating strategic priorities into successful delivery plans and outcomes.
Experience of developing partnerships and securing funding or investment.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong organisational, administrative and financial management skills.
Knowledge of cultural policy, funding landscapes, governance arrangements and third-sector operating models.

Support and advise the Cultural Compact Board and future CIO trustees.
Develop and maintain strong partnerships across the cultural and creative sectors.
Identify and secure external funding opportunities.
Manage the coordination and administration of Compact meetings and activities.
Oversee Birmingham City Council's Shared Fund for Culture Compact allocation.
Monitor and report progress against strategic objectives.
