Job Description

Knowsley Council are looking for a Culture Development and Events Officer (Events) to join their Culture Team. If you are passionate about culture and have experience of planning and delivering large scale events and cultural activities, then this role could be for you. Experience could include delivering cultural events, developing and supporting cultural organisations and artists, activities, festivals, performances, public art, etc.

Following a hugely successful few years, Knowsley is looking forward to building on the ambition for culture, creativity and visitor economy and impacting positively on key priorities for a successful Knowsley.

Knowsley is a priority area for Arts Council England and Heritage Lottery and has excellent relationships with both. Knowsley is home to the Shakespeare North Playhouse and has an exciting and developing cultural and creative sector.

Job Requirements

You will be expected to help embed, and put into practice, a culture of enabling, co-production, social growth, behaviour change, addressing inequalities and service innovation, including the development and delivery of cultural events.

You will establish partnerships with key national, regional and local organisations, this will include collaborative and cross cutting ventures internally and with other agencies, local authorities, businesses and organisations, community, voluntary and faith groups.
