We are recruiting dance artists with experience of leading workshops for our new #CommunityLegacies programme, promoting wellness through arts. The workshops are primarily for people with limited or no previous experience of dance. Artists should have: A minimum of two + years of facilitating community dance workshops/classes within community spaces (libraries and community halls). Artists must have experience of tailoring the workshops to accommodate lived-in experience of individuals as part of the learning process. Working with the organisation's artistic team to ensure an organic creative experience. Experience of working with participants with limited or no prior experience of dance and from global majority and lgbt+ communities, is desirable. Available to facilitate workshops afternoons and early evening. * Prepare and submit a brief workshop plan for 6 sessions. * Prepare a risk assessment document for the sessions * Ensure participants complete any pre/ post workshop monitoring progresses and prepare a feedback report at the end of the sessions. * Liaise with Programme Manager pre/post each session to provide a brief update. Job Description
Facilitators will lead a weekly workshop for 6 weeks from May 2025, and /or individual workshops for large groups (subject to demand).
Dance styles: Bollywood, Ballroom, Bellydance, Flamenco, Salsa.
The series of workshops will culminate in a sharing of created work/s.
