Job Description

.

The role

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Deputy Stage Manager to assist with the day-to-day operation, supervision, and delivery of our world class programme in the Concert Hall and associated onsite and offsite locations. These include classical and contemporary music concerts and events, as well as a large programme of commercial activity.

In this varied role, you will be involved in assisting with stage management, including team supervision and event health and safety, attending rehearsals, overseeing load-ins and -outs, artist liaison, ensuring stage crew is assigned and maintenance tasks. With your working knowledge of event staging procedures and orchestra set-ups, you'll also have an applied knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and proven experience of working on complex events in the entertainment industry, ideally from a multi-arts venue Concert Hall or similar environment.

The ideal candidate will have excellent management and communication skills, with a positive attitude, even under challenging circumstances. The ability to multi-task and lead a team with excellent interpersonal skills is essential.

Weekend and evening work will be an integral part of the job as required, so a flexible approach is crucial.

*Please note that this is not a theatrical Deputy Stage Management position and, therefore, "calling of performances" or "prompt copy creation" are not essential requirements of the post in rehearsals. *
