Kenny Wax Ltd is one of the leading Production Companies operating in the West End and on Tour. We are looking for an experienced Deputy Stage Manager to join our team in London for the premiere of a new Mischief play, The Comedy About Spies.

Kenny Wax Ltd is one of the leading Production Companies operating in the West End and on Tour. We are looking for an experienced Deputy Stage Manager to join our team in London for the premiere of this new Mischief play.

Salary: £975 per week (£925 per week for rehearsals)

Contract: Fixed Term SOLT/Equity Contract

Contract Dates: 24th February - 2nd August 2025 (plus possible extension)

Rehearsals (London): 24th February - 30th March 2025

Tech: 31st March - 13th April 2025

Performances: 14th April - 2nd August 2025

Possible Extension: 3rd August - 7th September 2025

Show schedule: Performances are 6 days per week, typically Tuesday - Sunday. The performance schedule during previews varies and shall be confirmed at point of contract.

Holiday: As per the SOLT/Equity Agreement (28 days per full calendar year)

Performance Location: Noel Coward Theatre, St Martin's Lane, London WC2N 4AU

Personal attributes: We are looking for applicants with previous Deputy Stage Management experience. The role requires someone who has exceptional people skills and can work in a highly pressured environment. Knowledge and experience of the working practices of a new West End production is highly desirable.

Job Requirements

Person Specification:

  • Demonstrable professional experience working in a similar role in the West End or on Tour;
  • Knowledge and experience of the working practices of a West End production;
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with excellent attention to detail;
  • Proactive and flexible attitude, with the ability to work with commitment and dedication to find solutions as required;
  • Experience of working with creative teams and the ability to manage expectations;
  • Ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritise;
  • Discretion and sensitivity when dealing with confidential information;
  • Experience of working on a new production;
  • A calm and proactive approach to technical troubleshooting.
  • A strong understanding of comic timing;
  • Awareness of current health & safety legislation;
  • Awareness of current SOLT/Equity Agreements.
