Job Summary

The LSO is looking for an individual with excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail, who has an interest in developing an overall understanding of fundraising in the performing arts sector from a variety of sources. An interest in orchestral/classical music is desirable.

Job Description

The Development Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the fundraising and donor engagement activity across the Development Team, with a strong focus on database management as well as general administrative support to the team.

This position is responsible for maintaining accurate donor records, processing gifts, generating reports, driving prospect meetings and ensuring the development team has the data and analytics to support their fundraising streams, as well as undertaking research projects. Furthermore, the coordinator will also support fundraising processes throughout funders' and major donors' overall giving journeys (stewardship). This will include writing thank you letters, assisting with the evaluation and reporting for projects that have been funded, and providing effective administrative help across the team, including processing grants and maintaining accurate financial records.

Job Requirements

We are looking for someone with experience in:

  • Working in a busy environment managing a varied and demanding workload, with ideally some experience of a CRM system.

Job Responsibilities

Processing and database work

Implementing database processes to accurately track the giving cycle of funders.

Maintain accurate financial records relating to funding from trusts, foundations and corporate supporters, ensuring that this is accurate and up-to-date at all times.

Establishing data analysis tools on the CRM and keeping these up to date to help keep the team on track with fundraising targets

Create meeting briefings for senior colleagues for funding approaches and initial meetings.

Create ethics screenings for new major donors and funders.

Creating gift agreements for major donors and funders.

Leading on gift administration for funders and major donors, and ensuring that they are acknowledged and credited appropriately, liaising with other LSO departments where needed.

Ensure all communication with major donors and funders is recorded on the Raiser's Edge database.

Ensure that the supporter sections of the LSO's website are up-to-date.
